ThermaPak started life as a small idea, in a small kitchen in rural Aberdeenshire.    Established in 2018, You can find Thermapak's headquarters surrounded by nature, where geese fly overhead and the clean air and stunning North East skies serve as a constant reminder and motivation to protect our precious environment. 

 

Alex Duthie, founder of Thermapak, previously spearheaded projects within the oil industry and felt a profound urge for change towards a greener future. Motivated by a desire to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability, he transitioned his expertise and technical knowledge to research the best alternatives to traditional packaging.  Through his extensive research he became aware of the limitations of certain organic, biodegradable, and compostable packaging options. Many of these alternatives fell short, lacking real recyclability and still posing a significant risk of landfill disposal for the end user.

Thermapak was created to provide a truly Kerbside Recyclable Packaging Solution for perishable goods which worked in harmony with the circular economy.  Without over use of 'eco buzz words' and a focus on real recycling, Thermapak has grown with the support of our fantastic customers and now manufactures ThermaChill boxes.   

 

We are proud our boxes meet the FSA guidelines for required thermal efficiency.
